AI-Storyteller: Intelligent Content Curation for Sports

AI-Storyteller is a project owned by Forzasys, a company founded and led by Professor Pål Halvorsen, Chief Research Scientist in SimulaMet. Halvorsen and Professor Michael Riegler lead this project that aims to revolutionize sports media production.

SimulaMet has over the recent years conducted research on different aspects within sports and AI-systems. Ranging from sports media production to injury and performance prediction for female soccer players.

Today, different sports media outlets spend a lot of resources on creating engaging content for different fan groups across various platforms. Through advanced AI technologies, AI-Storyteller will fully automate the process of making video compilations and stories for all types of media. Transforming labor-intensive manual processes and making story creation more efficient and accessible.

“I think this is one of the most interesting projects I was involved in the last year in terms of the application of AI, since it has the potential for several interesting integrations of generative AI," says Professor Michael A. Rieger.
